THIS EVENING FOR SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES
411, 413, 422, 427, 475 AND 476...

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 475 East Salmon River
Mountains/Salmon NF and Fire Weather Zone 476 Lemhi and Lost
River Range/Challis NF.

* IMPACTS...Scattered thunderstorms can produce frequent
lightning that may in turn produce wildfire starts in
receptive fuels.

* THUNDERSTORMS...A mix of wet and dry storms, with wetting rains
possible with stronger storms.

* OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusts over 35 mph with peak gusts nearing 55-60
mph.

Information:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly based on these criteria
for Southeastern Idaho:

- Thunderstorm coverage of 25 percent, without specific rainfall
criteria.

* WHAT...Air Quality Advisory due to smoke from wildfires.

Air Quality Index ranging from Moderate to Unhealthy.

* WHERE...All Areas on the Nez Perce Reservation.

* WHEN...Until Monday, July 20, 2026, at 10:00am.

* IMPACTS...Those who experience health effects from smoke include
children under 18, elders, pregnant women, people with asthma
or have difficulty breathing, diabetes, heart problems or
otherwise compromised health, and people who have high exposure
(those who work, exercise, or spend extensive time outdoors).

Information:
Under the most severe pollution level, sensitive groups should avoid
outdoor exposure and limit indoor activities, and everyone should
restrict their outdoor activities.
